God created us for relationship. With the very first man God said: "It isn't good for man to be alone; I will make a companion for him, a helper suited to his needs." Genesis 2:18 (Living). Two institutions were created for us to be ‘in relationship’ with others. One is the family . . . and the second is God’s family: The Church. God wants you to be connected to Him through His family.
Everyone is important to God, and therefore is important to His family. At Christ Community Church we have a commitment to help each person who comes to us to experience two important elements of family. One is that ‘you belong.’ When you come in for worship or through one of the other times we gather as a family, our desire is that you sense “I’m home.” The other element is that “you are needed.” You are important to the family as we seek to carry out God’s purpose for us as His Church.
In Christ Community Church we have two specific ways to stay connected within the family: 1) Small Groups and 2) Ministry Teams. Through these two opportunities the family gathers for fellowship . . . discipleship . . . and ministry to others.
