MEET THE CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH LEADERSHIP TEAM
Here at Christ Community Church of Athens we consider ourselves blessed by the wonderful Staff God has so graciously provided to us. To get to know each a little better, take a moment and read a little about each of them.
Dr. Carlos Peterson . . . has been a pastor for over thirty-eight years, serving churches in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee.
He has served Christ Community Church as pastor since December of 2001.
He and his wife Julia have three married daughters and eight grandchildren.
A Message from Pastor Carlos:
Everybody needs somebody. The Bible says that God created us for relationship. In Genesis 2:18 (NLT) God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. . ."
We are just not complete when we are without the support of family and friends. . . or those who meet that hunger in our lives. At Christ Community Church we are committed to creating an environment where everyone can sense that feeling of belonging. Whether at the Worship and Celebration time on Sunday, when we welcome you as a fellowship; or by helping to involve you in a relational small group that can help you through the tough times of life, our desire is to touch your life in a caring way that will help you to experience something wonderful and special?
At Christ Community Church we believe that everyone needs that and more. We are committed to be a place where everyone feels welcome, accepted, a sense of belonging.
