It’s Not about us . . . It’s About God. Worship is a time of celebration – remember through the experiences of the past week and praising God for His activity in our lives. When we come together on Sunday morning we come to focus on God and His great love for us.
As a celebration of God . . . Worship is not about style . . . or method . . . or activity. Worship is giving praise to God for Who He is . . . Thanksgiving for What He does . . . and Faith for that which we believe is going to take place as we continue to focus our lives on Him.
Worship is celebrating Jesus as our Savior and Lord. We lift our voices in joy-filled praise and gratitude for the life . . . death . . . and resurrection of Jesus. Worship is offered to Him as our risen Lord and with confident trust that He is involved in our lives each day, to bring us into greater relationship with God.
Worship is celebrating through the Presence and Power of the Holy Spirit. Real worship is that which comes from the Presence of God in us . . . through us . . . and back to God. It’s not about us . . . It’s about Him!
When worship takes place, we are never the same. When we come into the Presence of God and are transformed by Him, the natural response is a desire to share that experience with others. Thus worship is fulfilled when we return to life in the everyday world to live the celebration of life found only in God, through faith in Jesus. Through our ‘transformed lives’ others can be transformed. . . and that’s something to celebrate.
Come and celebrate God and experience the transformation He can bring to your life!
